Ottolenghi Chelsea
Ottolenghi kicked off 2022 by opening their Chelsea branch to the public, one of their largest delis to date.
After completing the fit-out of their Marylebone deli in June 2021, we were excited to be given the opportunity to fit out another of their locations. The Chelsea deli has a unique design that doesn't follow the 'typical' Ottolenghi look, but it still incorporates their distinctive Corian counters and displays throughout the restaurant.

The Works
Our team carried out works from an empty shell unit, encompassing complete mechanical installations that included; HVAC, Electrical works, Plumbing works and waste services.
Our favourite feature of this contemporary design concept is the new terrazzo flooring and textured walls. When we saw the design plans from the client, we couldn’t wait to see what these looked like on site.
In a similar style to the Corian work we produced for ROVI and Marylebone, we manufactured and installed the Corian front & back counters as well as the storage and shelving units.
We worked alongside one of our trusted subcontractors, Dentons Catering, who installed the bespoke kitchen suite including the cold rooms and ovens.
As the premises is on a bigger scale than the Ottolenghi deli, we provided customers with an accessible WC on the ground floor; and staff with a WC located in the basement.
Challenges
Despite this project running smoothly with very few obstacles along the way, we did encounter supply difficulties with the specified tiles. Our client wanted these exact tiles to fit in with the Ottolenghi brand, and as they were shipped from Italy, the combination of Brexit and Covid caused extended delivery times.
