In 2021, having worked with GS Contracts previously on Latin-American restaurant Zuaya and Italian restaurant Como Garden, Brothers Arian and Alberto Zandi called on our expertise to help with their 3rd venture El Norte.

As the name suggests, El Norte is a Spanish themed restaurant and bar situated in the heart of Mayfair, along Dover Street. In just 15 weeks, our team transformed the shell of the existing restaurant into a luxurious Spanish restaurant, serving Mediterranean recipes with a contemporary twist.
Works began with the complete strip-out of the existing unit before undergoing complete electrical re-wiring, the installation of air-con, and plumbing works.
We were delighted to have worked with the Harp Design team once again, providing clients Arian and Alberto with this wonderful new Spanish tapas restaurant.
We are so proud of our team for executing such a fantastic finish on another one of our restaurant fit-outs and are looking forward to sharing many more of our upcoming projects.
Challenges
The layout of the unit, formerly another restaurant, disguised some existing problems with the building, which didn’t become apparent until work commenced.
It wasn’t until after the new ceiling was installed and a heavy downfall of rain occurred that we discovered leaks. Our team worked hard to find the root of these problems & repaired the issues in a timely manner.
Finished Result
Large, mirrored ceiling frames were also manufactured and installed with LED strips running around the perimeter, enlarging the restaurants appearance.
With the beautiful lounge and bar area providing a vibrant and lively atmosphere for resident DJ’s to play electronic and Spanish music during the week and offering a carefully selected Spanish wine list with deliciously crafted cocktails prepared at the bar, El Norte is a spot certainly to visit!
