Working predominately across the commercial, leisure and hospitality sectors, GS Contracts is a leading shop-fitting and interior fit-out contractor working within London and the surrounding areas.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with strong IT skills and experience using Solid works. It’s a great chance for a technician to step into a role in the team and be heavily involved in some exciting projects within the company based at our Colchester Office.

The Role:

• Provide accurate, detailed joinery drawings
• Attend project meetings and work closely with the production team and project manager
• Distributing drawings to agreed time scales
• Liaise with the Production Director and Production Manager
• Experience within the joinery industry, producing high-end detailed joinery/manufacturing drawings is desirable; however not essential as full training will be provided.
• A leader within the UK construction market offering bespoke joinery solutions for Producing detailed manufacturing drawings for GS Contracts in-house joinery, and subcontract, fabrication teams.
• Working closely with the manufacturing teams to ensure a design-for-production mindset is maintained.
• Work closely with the client-designer and GS contracts production team to ensure all fabrication drawings are detailed and issued to a consistently high standard.
• To provide ‘as-built’ information where required.
• Work on new development projects, investigate new manufacturing methods and propose new materials & suppliers.

Draughtsman/Technician Requirements:

• Highly motivated

• Ideally, practical operational or manufacturing experience.

• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with and support all departments within the company.
• Experienced in Solid Works.

GS Contracts are looking for an Estimator to join our growing team.
Working predominately across the commercial, leisure and hospitality sectors, GS Contracts is a leading shop-fitting and interior fit-out contractor working within London and the surrounding areas.
Due to our continued expansion and positive work pipeline, we are looking for a candidate who is able to assist both the estimating and commercial teams. This will be a dual role assisting with new enquiries from clients and managing the commercial element of live projects.‌

The Role:

• Developing relationships with sub-contractors and suppliers
• Pricing new enquiries
• Attending site visits as and when required
• Requesting quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
• Analysing quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
• Complete take-offs from drawings
• Interpreting tender documentation
• Marking up drawings
• Change management
• Pricing variations
• Carrying out a cost analysis
• Managing subcontractor procurement
• Working in collaboration with the Project & Site Manager on each project

Estimator Requirements:

Both on and off-the-job training will be offered for this role.
The role itself will be predominately based in our office in Colchester, Essex. Where appropriate the candidate will be required to visit site.

GS Contracts are looking for an experienced Site Manager to join our growing team in Colchester.
Working across the commercial, residential and hospitality sectors, GS Contracts are a leading fit-out contractor working within London and the surrounding areas.

Ideally, the Site Manager will have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Site Manager within the internal fit-out sector. We are looking for a candidate who has experience delivering projects in a relevant sector, to programme, on budget, safely and of the highest quality.

Contracts Manager Requirements:

• Previous internal fit-out site manager experience
• Strong and up to date Health & Safety knowledge
• Carpentry / Joinery knowledge
• Acute attention to detail
• Extensive programme experience

GS Contracts are looking for an experienced Bench Joiner to join our expanding team in Colchester.

About us:

We are a specialist interior fit out and bespoke manufacturing contractor with over 25 years experience in the design, manufacture, installation and management of fit-outs for the commercial, retail, leisure and hospitality industries.

Job Overview:

This role will require the chosen candidate to work within our manufacturing facility in Colchester. As a business we manufacture bespoke joinery items to supplement our fit out projects and on a standalone basis. Items manufactured include tea points, reception desks, counters etc. Working for a variety of commercial clients on occasion you may be required to install bespoke joinery items on our sites, however most of your time will be spent within the workshop.

GS Contracts are looking for a Driver/Site Support to join our growing team.
Working predominately across the commercial, leisure and hospitality sectors, GS Contracts is a leading shop-fitting and interior fit-out contractor working within London and the surrounding areas.
Due to our continued expansion and positive work pipeline, we are looking for a candidate to assist with deliveries into London. Items include site set-up items, materials and finished joinery items. You will be required to carry out deliveries to site most days.

The Role:

• Liaise with the Production Manager for Joinery deliveries.
• Liaise daily with Project Managers & Site Managers of all site materials & tools to various sites
• Managing all vehicles within the business, ensuring MOT, Tax & Servicing are actioned.
• Advising of any issues with the vehicles promptly and arranging for the necessary repairs.
• Deliveries will be mainly in the London area- however, due to the nature of our work, there will be a requirement for deliveries Nationwide.
• In addition to deliveries to and from site there will be a requirement to assist with the management of assets, tools & assisting with site setup

Driver / Site Support Requirements:

• This role requires you to have a full driving license
• Good communication skills
• Interested in working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to build relationships with all key staff members within the business

The role will be based in our office in Colchester, Essex, with deliveries into London and when required, Nationwide.
