GS Contracts are looking for an Estimator to join our growing team!

We are a specialist interior fit out and bespoke manufacturing contractor with 30 years experience in the design, manufacture, installation and management of fit outs across the commercial, leisure and hospitality sectors.

Working with some of the UK’s most well-known brands, we pride ourselves on our ability to build relationships with clients, working in partnership to transform their interiors!

Due to our continued expansion and positive work pipeline, we are looking for a candidate who is able to play a pivotal role within our estimating team. In this role you will be expected to manage and lead multiple estimates at any one time across a range of different projects.

The Role:

  • Developing relationships with sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Pricing new enquiries
  • Attending site visits as and when required
  • Requesting quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
  • Analysing quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
  • Complete take offs from drawings
  • Interpreting tender documentation
  • Marking up drawings
  • Change management
  • Pricing variations
  • Carrying out cost analysis
  • Working in collaboration with the Operations team where required

Estimator Requirements:

  • Willingness to learn and a positive can-do attitude
  • Interested in working in a fast-paced environment

  • Previous experience working in a similar role

GS Contracts are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our growing team!

We are a specialist interior fit out and bespoke manufacturing contractor with 30 years experience in the design, manufacture, installation and management of fit outs across the commercial, leisure and hospitality sectors.

Due to our continued expansion and positive work pipeline, we are looking for a candidate who is able to play a pivotal role within our operations team. In this role you will be working alongside our Contracts Managers, supporting them on the delivery of projects whilst delivering your own!  

The Role:

  • Attending site visits as and when required
  • Putting together project programmes
  • Liaising with contractors and suppliers
  • Overseeing and working on several projects at any one time
  • Assisting the Contracts Managers where required
  • Building relationships with the client
  • Compiling relevant Health & Safety documentation for each project and ensuring adherence to Health & Safety standards on site
  • Working closely with the Site Manager and on site delivery teams
  • Delivering projects on time, budget and of the highest quality
  • Attending and participating in internal resource and delivery meetings
  • Attending client meetings

GS Contracts are looking for an experienced Site Manager to join our growing team in Colchester.
Working across the commercial, residential and hospitality sectors, GS Contracts are a leading fit-out contractor working within London and the surrounding areas.

Ideally, the Site Manager will have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Site Manager within the internal fit-out sector. We are looking for a candidate who has experience delivering projects in a relevant sector, to programme, on budget, safely and of the highest quality.

Contracts Manager Requirements:

  • Previous internal fit-out site manager experience
  • Strong and up to date Health & Safety knowledge
  • Carpentry / Joinery knowledge
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Extensive programme experience
  • Good work ethic and a positive can-do attitude

GS Contracts are looking for an experienced Bench Joiner to join our expanding team in Colchester.

About us:

We are a specialist interior fit out and bespoke manufacturing contractor with over 25 years experience in the design, manufacture, installation and management of fit-outs for the commercial, retail, leisure and hospitality industries.

Job Overview:

This role will require the chosen candidate to work within our manufacturing facility in Colchester. As a business we manufacture bespoke joinery items to supplement our fit out projects and on a standalone basis. Items manufactured include tea points, reception desks, counters etc. Working for a variety of commercial clients on occasion you may be required to install bespoke joinery items on our sites, however most of your time will be spent within the workshop.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understanding technical drawings
  • Conducting site surveys
  • Producing cutting lists
  • Estimating the materials needed for a job
  • Drafting job briefs
  • Using a range of equipment from traditional tools to state-of-the-art computerised cutting equipment and hi-tech drawing and design software
  • Managing production schedules
  • Conducting quality checks
  • Producing progress reports for senior managers.
  • Attending site to carry out installs when required
  • Using skill set to manufacture bespoke joinery items
  • Working as part of the team to meet deadlines
