We recently completed a flagship store for Itsu on the first floor of the Westfield Centre in Shepherd’s Bush. Itsu is a well-known shop and restaurant chain that sells soups, sushi, noodles & rice bowls, all freshly made on site.

We have done many fit-outs for Itsu over the past few years. This was to be a flagship Itsu branch so it was a much longer project than usual: it lasted 10 weeks, beginning in August and opening in October. As the Westfield Centre was open throughout, our first task (which took five days) was to building extensive 8m-high hoardings, so that our work wouldn’t disturb shoppers!

As we’ve fitted out so many branches of Itsu, we’re now very familiar with their current brand model, which was was created by London designer Afroditi Krassa. As always, we manufactured the counters, displays, tables and seating to conform to their design specifications.

The central area of the interior includes an instance of the (now iconic) overhead “Butterfly In Flight” lighting feature, designed by the award-winning Cinimod Studio.

As the store is so large, we created a mezzanine floor which could provide further seating upstairs.

Finally, we installed additional seating outside in the mall area. A finishing touch to the decor was the latest addition to the classic Itsu style – bright pink orchid planters!
