We recently did some work for Space Catering, refurbishing the refectory at the Royal College of Art  – a world-renowned postgraduate art and design school in South Kensington, London.

The project was undertaken as part of a new £2.7 million catering contract between the RCA and Charlton House, which included a complete refurbishment and re-fit of the refectory. The work was managed by Space Catering, a company we’ve worked with several times before.

The refectory underwent a complete re-fit, including new walls, ceilings and flooring, followed by lighting, decoration, furniture and fittings. We also manufactured two bespoke servery counters.

The refectory re-opened in October 2012, serving new healthy and delicious menus for approximately 1,200 design students, staff and visitors.

You can read more about this in news stories on both Charlton House’s website and Space Catering’s website – and on the Caterer and Hotelkeeper website.
