We recently finished the interior for the first Icecreamists store, opening in Covent Garden this month. The Icecreamists originally had a counter within Selfridges, and are now opening two stores in London: the first (this one) in Maiden Lane, and a second to follow soon in the Piazza. The parlour will sell extreme ice-cream and cocktails, described as a ‘hallucinatory freezer cabinet of nitrogen-tipped vice creams and guilty pleasures’!

The client already had a clear design in mind for the interior, wanting it to “evolve from the straight punk vibe in Selfridges to ‘industrial baroque and roll.’ ” We undertook the fit-out within the building’s original interior – amending the existing layout and adding to the features, including manufacturing new counters. The décor is black and shocking fluoresecent pink, with pink banquette seating. You can see more photos of the interior on The Icecreamists’ official Facebook pages.
