Project News: Itsu Cheapside

We’ve completed another branch of London shop and restaurant chain Itsu – this time for a shop at Cheapside. It was based on Itsu’s new branding – created by ‘i-am’ associates -  and it is the first Itsu to open at 7am, offering breakfasts to workers in the City.

We did a complete fit out for this project, and it required us to create many bespoke items  in order to provide a fully-customised solution. For example: the biscuit display stands you can see on the counter below were custom-designed and built; first we created a flat slab with an acrylic lid over the top, and then we experimented with different heights, widths and thicknesses to get the perfect result.

Even the chair covers and cushions (below) were meticulously chosen: we initially developed six different samples for the hard seat covers, in different shapes with varying stitching details and fabric thicknesses, so that the client could choose the one they most preferred.
