Project Case Study: Bespak

Brief:
To provide design and layout details to enhance existing staff restaurant, providing a new pleasant and inviting area to eat and relax. Other use could be for informal meetings between staff and guests. To improve the flow and to provide greater ease of use around the servery counters.
The Client wanted to update their existing staff restaurant facility, as it was very dated and not practical, due to fixed fast food style seating.
G S Contracts carried out a new plan layout and interior design scheme to address both its look and overall functionality.
Once the design was agreed a detailed scope of works and prices were submitted.
A programme of works was set out over an agreed 3-week period.
During this period the catering contractor provided temporary service from an alternative area.

What the Client said:
Q. What was your original brief and expectations?
To completely refurbish, modernize and update the seating and servery areas with decor which would not date. To provide the employees and visitors with a more pleasant environment in which to enjoy their meals and breaks.
Q. Did a full design package help to reassure you in terms of what you would be provided with and also to present to your staff etc?
This should be and was provided for, as part of a project of this high profile nature, and it helped immensely in providing all levels of staff and those on the project team with an insight as to what was being proposed.
Q. Were you pleased with the end result and did it meet or exceed your expectations?
We were extremely happy with end result which exceeded all expectations.
Q. Was the professionalism of on site staff and project management team to your expectations?
Project management was first class. As this was such a high profile area the management of both the area and personnel carrying out the work needed to be spot on which I am glad to say was the case in all respects. I was kept up to date at every stage of the process.

Project Case Study: Aldenham Golf Club
Location:
Church Lane, Aldenham, WATFORD, Hertfordshire, WD25 8NN
Project Details:
Design, manufacture and install 2 bar areas and food servery with functional and contemporary style in sympathy with a recently refurbished reception area.
Works:
Project works included strip out, internal builders work, including walls and doors etc. M&E services, ceiling and floors, decoration, equipment and bespoke manufacturing.
Various suitable finishes were proposed that would be highly durable, as well as aesthetically pleasing.
CDM Regulations were applicable as were a structural site survey and a full report of the existing building, structure and relevant materials used.
Result:
The project was completed by end of March 2004 to the deadline originally specified and fell within budget the Clients budget.
